About a year and a half ago I decided to update my website. I worked diligently for several weeks and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Shortly after I realized that while updating my website, and changing servers, that I misplaced my blog. Panic began to set in. I just knew I had to have it somewhere. I am a stickler for having things saved in at least 2 places at any given time. I searched everywhere, but to no avail. Years of work, gone. Stories that I shared, to hopefully look back on one day, gone. Some of these stories were personal, some were professional…but all meant something to me. Sure…I still have the photos…but the stories…those were priceless details that I am sure are remembered differently, or even forgotten, when the photos are looked at years later. I had a last hope that my previous hosting company would have it saved…but since it had been over 30 days from me switching, they could not locate the blog on their end either. I was heartbroken. It seems that because I wrote my blog online, and did not regularly back it up it became more than just lost during the transition. I attempted to start my blog again, but I guess I was just way to bummed out to keep it going. Well, not anymore!
Today I start new. New stories. New photos. I may even throw a few ones in here and there! I am excited again, and cannot wait to share more with you! I will start with this…
Last year I started a Facebook page called “52 Reasons“. I wanted remind everyone to document their “everyday” as much as possible. Knowing that taking a photo every single day can be tough, (I tried to do a project 365 once and failed miserably) I thought…once a week would not be so bad! Once a week I post a theme that can, but is not required to be followed. My goal is to just get people taking photographs of their life. Right now. No matter what. My first week of this year I posted the inspirational word “Happy”. See, not too hard! Especially new years day! I will post my photo below. I have to say there are many friends that decided to continue on with the project for year 2 and I am thrilled. Feel free to check out the group, and request an “add” if you are interested! Just click HERE.
If you are still with me, thank you. I promise, moving forward, to make this the best blog possible!
And now, for my “Happy” from my 52 Reasons Group…This Guy! He IS my happy. He makes me smile more than frown. He makes me laugh more than cry. He made me a wife and a mom, and encourages me everyday to do what makes me…Happy.
